Grand Atlantic

How We Survive

Grand Atlantic have been clocking up the frequent flyer miles (and van hours!) around the country, touring in support of their acclaimed new album ‘How We Survive’, which has been rapturously received by press and heavily played at radio. The band has been up and down the East Coast

, with 2 Melbourne shows, 3 Sydney shows and many points in between over the last month, combining highly-entertaining shows with radio interviews on 3RRR, 3PBS, 2SER and fBI Radio. Grand Atlantic will wind up part 1 of their album tour with shows in Queensland throughout August, and have just been announced for the Big Sound conference and Sounds Of Spring festival in September, as well as One Movement in Perth in October, with more to follow. Look out for them at a venue near you…

“…Bands from The Church to The Dandy Warhols have done the ‘60s-through-a-psychedlic-haze thing very well but ,in 2009, you won’t hear many doing it with the verve and focus – and the sweaty energy – of Grand Atlantic.” (Courier Mail, Brisbane)

“From the outset its obvious Grand Atlantic can pen a pretty good tune. The album rips open with “Coast is Clear” and its fuzzy guitar driven feel sets up the rest of album nicely… the last track on the album “Don’t Say Goodnight” is a really, really short piece of pop genius with an endearing vocal melody… Grand Atlantic sure know how to write songs choc full of guitar driven rock/pop dynamics…” (thedwarf.com.au)

“Grand Atlantic’s second full-length album is a fairly chock-full plate of pop rock, with big sounds, singalong hooks and catchy melodies… ‘How We Survive’ is a masterfully crafted record.” (Time Off Magazine)
